DICE (Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment), the award-winning EA developer based in Stockholm, Sweden, is best known for producing the phenomenally successful Battlefield franchise and its proprietary Frostbite engine. DICE is located in the heart of Stockholm.
Founded in 1992 by four friends from the Amiga demo scene, DICE (then Digital Illusions) created the cult hit Pinball Dreams for the Amiga. Ten years later, the pivotal Battlefield 1942 would change the future of online gaming and DICE forever. Today, Battlefield 3 has sold more than 17 million copies and received 130 game industry awards. And we are just getting warmed up.
DICE has an impressive back catalogue of successful titles led by the Battlefield franchise (Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield Modern Combat, and Battlefield 2142). Other notable titles in DICE's success story include Mirror's Edge, Pinball Dreams, Motorhead, Codename Eagle, Midtown Madness, and Rallisport Challenge.
