Set to be shown for the first time at gamescom this August, Independent Dutch developer, Digital Dreams, announced today that "Metrico+", a revamped version of the original PlayStation Vita game, is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via STEAM early next year.

Last year, the infographic world of Metrico was released exclusively for the PlayStation Vita and was part of the PlayStation Plus lineup at its launch. Like its predecessor, Metrico+ features unique worlds to explore with distinct challenges, mechanics, looks and sounds; however new worlds and features have been added to replace the worlds reliant on PS Vita exclusive features.

Metrico+ for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC will feature lots of new content and the visuals have been completely revamped. Instead of the worlds that use Vita hardware features, there are completely new unique worlds to explore with new mechanics and puzzles for the player to solve.

Here's what lead designer Geert Nellen had to say about the project:
“We are extremely happy with how Metrico was received by players and press. The PlayStation Vita is a fantastic platform with a great audience, but we want more people to enjoy the world we created. So now we’re really excited about Metrico making the transition to the big screen and can’t wait to share the look and feel of the Metrico+ experience with an entirely new audience on PC and consoles.”

Metrico+ features original music by Dutch synth hero Palmbomen. The game will be shown for the first time in August this year at Gamescom in the Indie Arena Booth on the consumer show floor. Metrico+ is due to launch in Q1 2016.
