Bloodstained x Journey Crossover Update Out Today For Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Stadia, Luna & Steam
505 Games (@505_Games) and Japanese developer ArtPlay (@ArtplayEN) released a free crossover update taking gothic side-scrolling action RPG Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night into the realm of Journey, the Grammy-nominated atmospheric hit.
In this update available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles, Stadia and Luna via streaming, as well as PC via Steam, GOG, EA Origin and Game Pass, discover The Tunnels, a new location inspired by the stunning, somber environments that resonated with Journey fans worldwide. Rising tapestries, a rich desert background, and other iconic design motifs lend Bloodstained a more contemplative, labyrinthine mood.
Despite this change of pace, Miriam’s dynamic, fast-paced combat remains as satisfying as ever. Overcome the Guardian Dragon boss, designed to resemble Journey’s awe-inspiring Guardians, and earn the Mystical Scarf. Resembling Journey’s beloved red scarf, this powerful armor improves Defense, Int, and Mind while providing additional resistance to the elements of Fire and Light.
This update includes the following bug fixes and game updates:
- New playable Area for Miriam to explore based on Journey, thatgamecompany’s critically acclaimed game, with a unique boss fight and new item for Miriam to equip
- Fixed an issue with save and warp rooms randomizing when option was set to unchanged in Randomizer
- Fixed an issue with a timestamp error on Nintendo Switch version
- Fixed an issue where commands displayed is not updated for the custom controller configuration.
- General bug fixing
Known Issues:
- Achievement requirements met after 1.30 and before 1.31 will not unlock automatically after 1.40. In order to unlock those achievements achieved during 1.30, the player would need to start a new game or new game+, and complete the requirements for the achievement again. Loading a save from before 1.30 and replaying the task may also work.
- We are investigating a glitch where all lamps and candles become indestructible until leaving and re-entering the screen.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is available on Xbox Series X|S + Xbox One, PlayStation 5 + PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam | GOG.
