Just wondering if anyone is planning on popping open your Xbox One and changing out the Factory Thermal Compound on the CPU and GPU? Or if anyone even gives that a second thought?

I know a lot of people do this with the 360 and PS3 and get very noticible cooler temps and quieter gaming systems because the fans are not working so hard after removing the cheap crap paste and replacing with something mush better.

I am picking up some Diamond Thermal Compound for my pc as it has been over a year since I put some cheap crap on the CPU, and notice people commenting how much better their systems including consoles run now, even better than with the arctic silver.

Not sure whether I'll bother or not on Day One. I guess we will have to figure out how to open this sucker first lol. But yes, your right, Artic Silver is the shit. Smile

I got my tube of IC Diamond Compound the other day. Supposed to beat Arctic silver in most cases. I put it on my CPU and even though I have never cracked open a Video Card, I managed to replace the old cement like compund in my GPU with the new IC Diamond.

Been running a few days and everything runs great. Do not have exact temp comparisons to give because I did not do any tests, but both run a good 10+ degree F cooler at idle, As for the GPU under load, not sure as i have my Fan Control set on a steep curve, so it can be at same temp as before but will be doing so with fans at a lower speed.
