I am really enjoying the XBOX ONE experience. It's new and different, even if feeling slightly awkward at first. It only took me about 5 minutes and now I have found anything and everything I want and need.

The gaming is the best gaming I've ever seen in my long life for a launch console. So far every game I bought I am loving them. Fun, rewarding, engaging and actually looking next gen and definitely giving a $1500+ computer a run for the money hands down... and this is only the beginning.

Assassins Creed 4 is my kind of game. Lots to do and explore plus plenty of fighting to boot. I'd say Assassins Creed is not the top game when it comes to graphics out of the x1 launch titles but still looks nice with great dynamic lighting colorful vistas. No complains so far. I really love the smooth game play. It brings up the fun factor that much more for me.

Right now I have only skimmed the surface on the x1 games that I have gotten so I can not go into much depth on them. As for the xbox one itself, I am rather impressed with it much more so than I was with the 360. I like that it only sits flat but it would not matter if it could stand on it's side to me. I like that it is very stable and can contribute to very stable components in the entertainment cabinet. Sega Saturn: Top loading so has to be on top, Sega Dreamcast: top loading so has to be on top, xbox 1st: boxy but curved top makes a bad platform for other components. xbox 360: nice looking but strange shape makes it not ideal to stack anything on it but you can. The thing is it can over heat too easily so probably not a good idea. Enter the X1. Now we have a front loading, with excellent cooling and perfectly shaped to easily be put anywhere in your home entertainment cabinet.

The xbox one interface is blah looking but at least you can change the color of the boxes on the screen. Yes it is super reminiscent of what, you guessed it, Windows 8. It works well as soon as you use it a bit. I was never lost or felt lost except for when I couldn't and still can't find something like the hard drive section. I like how on xbox 360 you can go and see how much storage space you have and have used and then also can see each app or game individually if you want. The snap feature is a nice touch allowing you to have different content and apps on screen at the same time as something like a game. You can easily switch between nearly anything which I am now finding quite convenient with no waiting for apps to load and such. Using the 360 is going to now suck since your game has to shut off if you leave it for let's say the HOME or an APP. Not so with the xbox one. One thing that it sort of a pain is that every single game that you'll be playing for the first time takes a bitching time to install. That's expected but on a bright note, you get to start using the games, even before they finish installing but you may still have to wait to make progress in a game if it has not completely installed. This console does make heat and allot. The big internal fan and the plentiful vents shed that heat rather quickly. You sure can feel that heat being released. A word of caution! Don't take for granted that the xbox one fan is a big bad ass accompanied by an abundance of vents. Why? Because it does generate tons of heat so try not to run your xbox one boxed in a tight cabinet with the doors shut. It could easily drown in it's own heat that way. Don't forget that over time dust will build up internally lessening the effectiveness of the built-in cooling system of the X1. So blow it out now and then and also stay off rungs or at least put something between the rug and the xbox one.

The controller is excellent and after playing games and interacting with it for 12 hours straight, I think it is safe to say that this is the perfect controller for me. Well at least that I have used so far. It's so similar to the xbox 360 controller, it's just pick up and play with no learning curve. I have no complaints at all with the controller. I like the RB and LB buttons better now because before I was accidentally activating them prematurely but now I seem to feel them more and only use them when wanted. Like I mentioned before, the XYAB buttons are dope. I feel this controller is helping me to enjoy playing games more than before. It is some how even more natural to use than the 360 controller is. Side by side, they look rather close in design, so it must be the small and subtle changes that make the difference for me. I have to say that I never thought a better controller could be produced by anyone than the 360 controller but I was wrong.

Crimson Dragon will not appeal to most gamers. To me it is more about nostalgia, bringing me back to my roots when I played and loved games like Panza Dragoon Saga on the Sega Saturn and all the other games in this series on consoles like Dreamcast and the FIRST xbox. Crimson Dragon is much like Panzer Dragoon Orta and zwei as they are both "on rail games' and they are high difficulty shooters. For some reason, I have always been a fan of dinosaurs and even more so with dragons. So if a game has dragons in it you can bet I've played it, will play it or want to play it. I only played the beginning training session so far because this game was still installing and it would not let me progress further so I hopped on to another game. At this point, what I can say about Crimson Dragon now is that it is gorgeous, beautiful, eyes popped and lips said, "WOW". It takes some practice to get good grades in this game I found but I guess that is part of the fun. I did hear the developers released a patch to add a more forgiving level of play and that's the one I tried. Overall the game is fast, smooth, responds well and looks like a fireworks grand show that just keeps on going. lol. I wouldn't rate this game seeing how little I've played it so far but it is sure one that keeps my interest to just want to see more.

Back to the xbox one again. I have only had one problem so far. The video started glitching and going haywire. I am happy to report that I fixed mine with my magic fingers. Other than that it's been a treat.

Dead Rising 3 is the balls. I have never played a Dead Rising game in my life and I have no idea if the previous Dead Rising games are fun or any good or what but this game like apple pie to me, I just can't get enough! Fun, fun and more fun. Did I mention it looks sweet and plays even sweeter? Holy cow slaughter fest man! I planned on only playing this game for 1 or 2 hours and then try out Battle Field 4 but but oh man. Before I know it it was daylight again early in the morning. I had played for 6 hours non stop and I did not even realize a hint that so much time had flown by. Yikes! Get this game. It scared me, it made me laugh in delight, it is more fun than anything I can think of except riding my ATV. So go buy it and I will not say more about this game until I beat it.

The apps on the xbox one are what you would expect with one big difference. Where are all of them? Well it looks like they didn't get to porting them all over from 360 to x1 yet but that's ok they still have the most popular apps. Loving the quick loads and switching in and out of everything including the apps. I noticed that the majority of the apps use considerably less drive space than their xbox 360 counterparts and that is a good thing. For the ones that I have used so far, they don't seem to be missing anything and for the most part, some are even more improved like Netflix is.

Ryse: Son of Rome should a game that sucks. So why doesn't it? Strange it is.. I will admit that I only bought Ryse: Son of Rome just as a game to easily show off the xbox one in all it's glory. It was obvious to me that Ryse is a push over game that one would blow though way too fast. Well you know what? It is sort of. You can progress rather easily and quickly but somehow I found this rewarding. I also did not expect this game to play so well. Games with smooth frame rates seem to be so much better than they should be. Hell this game, looks well, plays well and keep you engaged so now I tell you it a really good game.

Here's a real big bummer for me! Well I forgot that my HDTV does not display 1080P. It is supposed to take all HDTV formats and convert them to 1080i. That worked excellent on the xbox 360. On the xbox one, it does not support 1080i in the slightest and somehow it knows the TV doesn't do 1080P but it won't send the 1080P to let the TV convert it. F ME!. So I am stuck with my HDTV in 720P while using my xbox one. I am a little disappointed, however, it's not really a x1 issue. However, 720P still is a treat and you can most definitely see how games are far more than the PS2 or the 360 could ever handle. but now I have to start saving for another big screen, oh well

Somethings I have left to do and try out on my new xbox one are:
Play Battle Field 4
Find the storage feature like the 360 has
Play a Bluray / DVD / CD
Listen to music or watch a movie.
Play multiplayer in any game
Have a voice chat.

Well I have to get back to work to make some money. So once I have time again I'll be check off the rest of my to do list. Very Happy

Yeah I am playing the single player campaign for now to get some experience but it weird. Every game I pick up on this xbox one I do better than I did on the 360. I think the smoothness, higher details and better controller are helping me along or something.

I'll play more single player and then hook up with you in multiplayer. I'll let you know. It's the first Battlefield game I have played. It is amazingly nice to play.
