Well, I have nothing negative to say so far being a fellow programmer you've got many things right.

Design - I like simple, yet fresh design you implemented especially on the forums they don't even look like they did on the other sites. The colors are just right not to bland and not to flashy neither.

Speed/Optimization - This is where I was really impressed, the site loaded instantly on my computer where as to some other sites it would hang for a few minutes or even crash my browser.

Clean URLs - Props for having all pages now be mod_rewrite generated and not just on the forums like before, it looks cleaner and much easier to remember incase someone wants to share URLs.

Well, that's my feedback. Kudos I think all that hard work was worth it in the end and I haven't even found a single bug so far +1 for that too. Smile

P.S The background changer is kickass!

More features incoming soon! I appreciate the time you took to point out the different points. I'm very happy with it so far, no complaints. mmm, what to do next. lol

It sounds like your right into programming yourself mate, I do this shit for a living and have designed over 20 business websites this year alone. I just wish i had more time to spend on the HQ's like i used to in the old days. Eitherway we should have ourselves a nice community.

I plan to add friend requests, chat live on the site with friends and much more.

cheers,

hobbs

It is hard to say what to add because I do not know what is involved in adding this or that, how much work it is or bandwidth it takes up. But other than News Comment sections, Maybe some kind of Forum or Comment rep system? Thumbs up and down, or a Vote up comment or post type thing. You could maybe see someones rep like they have on Live Leak.

Oh, something else. Is it possible to go to full screen on Youtube videos on site without having to go to youtube. I think this would be better than having someone come to the site, see a video here, click on it then leave this site to go to youtube to watch in full screen, then end up forgetting to come back or continue exploring the site.

I was going to add a news article but was having issues with adding a source link. Not sure how to do it. I tried using a code I know but it leaves in the entire addy. Can you code it so you can just paste an addy into a box and then type what you want the hotlink to say. I have seen this on other pages I use. I clicked on the button that said SOURCE but it just showed everything in html format. I guess that is not for the news source?

Also one bug i ran into, I used the little pull down in the bottom right of the text box so I could see better what I was typing, but then the stuff under the Edit/source buttons was pushed out an not accessible, I went to move the text box back up again with the little arrow in bottom of box but it was gone, like out of bounds so could not fix it. Had to open an whole new tab and news, and copy past all my text over.

If not a special box for the html code for a simple text hotlink, maybe you can have the code right there on the page somewhere so you can copy and past. I usually end up having to search my pc Note pad files to find the code. I could not find it this time and the one I looked up on line did not seem to work for me.

This one did not work for me either. <a href="http://www.cinemablend.com/games/EA-Raises-Prices-Next-Gen-Games-54-99-57437.html" style="font-size: 11px; font-family: Franklin Gothic Medium;" target="_self">hello

No need for any html at all.. You highlight your link eg. www.xbox.com and then choose the LINK option from the toolbar.. Will just take you a little while to get the hang of it.. Highlight what you want to be the link and click on the LINK button (i think its a chain).. Same goes if you want to make part of your article bold or italic..

hope that helps.

One feature I really like that I have come across on another site I frequent is one that remembers where you were last on any specific forum thread. So if the last time I was on a specific thread was on page 4, and now I come back and the thread is 20 pages long, When I click to go to that thread again, it automatically takes me to the spot I last was looking at, or where the first new post was put up since I was last there. so it will go to pg 4 and even be scrolled down to the area I looked at last to show the next new post since I last was there, rather than taking me straight to page 1/post 1 every time. Very cool feature. Not sure how it works or how it is coded but makes browsing and revisiting threads very efficient.
