Are you experiencing really bad lag, frame skipping or stuttering while you attempt to play Battlefield 4 on Xbox One? Check out some of the suggestions below that might just help you fix it!

One of the first things you should check is:

1. Wireless vs Wired - When available, you should always connect a network cable to your Xbox One to prevent packet loss.

2. Make sure that you are searching for BF4 Servers in your region - You can do this using the server browser.. Just use the filter options to select the closest country. Don't use quick match!

3. Battlefield 4 Port Forwarding - For the best possible experience you should forward the required ports in your router to your Xbox One.

Below you will find a list of all required ports to forward:

Opening TCP or UDP Ports for connection issues

PLATFORM | UDP | TCP
PC | 443 | 80, 443, 8080
Xbox One | 88, 3074, 53, 500, 3544, 4500, 1863 | 80, 3074, 53, 1863
Xbox 360 | 88, 3074, 53, 1863 | 80, 3074, 53, 1863
PlayStation 4 | 3659, 17503, 17504, 10000-20000 | 80, 443, 9988, 10000-20000, 17503, 17504, 42120, 42210, 42230, 44125, 44225, 44325
PlayStation 3 | 3478-3480, 3658, 10070-10080 | 80, 443, 465, 5223

How do I forward ports?
The first thing that you will need to do is give your Xbox One a static ip address. You can do this under the network settings options on the Xbox One. That's the simple part..

How to Setup Xbox One with a Static IP Address:
1. Open the network settings and note down the current ip address and other details..
2. From within the network settings area, select advanced settings and choose static ip.. Set the IP address to the exact IP address you wrote down earlier...
3. Added the subnet for your network
4. Add your DNS servers
5. Restart Your Xbox

Once you have setup your Xbox One with the static ip (an IP address that never changes), you can then login to your router via the admin web interface and forward your ports.

This is where the port forwarding website below comes in handy.
