Come on, Lets be honest. Of course that is what he would say, true or not. If the Xbox Specs were greater than the PS4 the same guy would be touting how superior the Xbox one is because of those specs and Sony would be saying that spec comparisons do not matter. But they do matter to some people, like game developers.

Ok, do you remember how the PS3 had a little more power then the Xbox 360? Same scenario. Did you see anything different because i didn't.. The PS3 still pumped out the same games, even battlefield looks terrible on the PS3 lol.. But you really can't tell the difference between the two consoles.. A joke really..

Both the PS4 and Xbox ONE games will be near identical for many years.. It won't be until the developers learn how to get the most out of the machine that we see a real differences between the PS4 and Xbox ONE. (if any at all)

You will never see it, it will be exactly as X360 and PS3, they close to the end and I still dont see a difference.

I think there is enough of a difference that it could mean the difference in lets say, how many objects can be in a single space and draw distances. maybe game load times etc. But like you said, there will be little noticed, I mean, they are not going to make one game for 2 consoles and have one that has more going on for one system. At least I do not think so.

We will have to wait until they are both out and have a side by side test on the same games, checking graphic quality, FPS, Load times etc. As we know in the xbox 360 and PS3, there is very little difference at all if any. Hell all I can make out is one has a little lower or higher contrast setting than the other.

But just curious, what if the PS4 was a bit more powerful. Lets say games would load 30% faster. would that make a difference to anyone enough to switch systems?

Nah, the PSN network is terrible mate, everyone will soon see the difference that all these new features being introduced on Xbox LIVE will be like.. I have been working with the cloud for several months now, and let me just say im excited to see how the online gameplay will be improved, especially with shared servers etc.

Even if the PS4 had slightly better graphics i doubt i would change to that system..

EDIT: On top of this let's not forgot about all the PS3 users who lost their complete profiles and all their in-game stuff. They had no online service for months. Many people switched right then!

PS3 was more powerful but had longer loading times, I remember a test on shop when it was release. So I dont really care about the specs
