In The Good Life, players assume the role of Naomi, a reporter who comes to Rainy Woods, the self-called “happiest place on Earth”. She is looking for a way to pay her debts. When she founds a corpse of a young woman, she decides to concentrate her efforts on revealing who the murderer is and on solving the mystery of the city, citizens of which are transforming into cats when the night falls. Naomi also becomes able to transform into a cat and she decides to use this opportunity to solve the mystery. One of the attractions of the game is a direct line drawn between two parts – during the day the player is a human, he interacts with other citizens, and during the night he becomes a cat and gains access to previously inaccessible paths.
