Project Root, a modern retake of the shoot 'em up action genre, will be released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, on the 29th of April 2015.

Paying homage to the classic SHMUP, Project Root throws players into the front lines of the rebellion to battle against a never ending collection of enemy aircraft, swarms of missile attacks, legions of tanks and engage in frenetic boss battles to strike at the root of the evil Prometheus Corp. Combatants have access to a plethora of ship upgrades, an arsenal of exploding, homing missiles, Cluster Rockets and gigantic lasers to bolster defenses.


Taking place across eight different, huge and open levels, Project Root has players taking on enemies both in the air and on the ground, progressing with upgrades in firepower, armor and maneuverability. Gamers will utilize special weapon drops during battle, constantly evade a hell-storm of bullets and other projectiles, engage in frenetic boss battles, and strike at the root of the evil Prometheus Corporation bent on world domination.

Project Root features Platform Cross-Buy for Sony gamers, allowing them to purchase the game once and receive both PlayStation versions: PS4 and PS Vita.
