MultiVersus Season 1 And All-New Battle Pass Launches Today
Warner Bros announced the start of Season 1 and an all-new Battle Pass for free-to-play platform fighter MultiVersus today.
The Season 1 Battle Pass is available now for players to earn in-game rewards and includes a free option with a variety of items, such as the LeBron James I'm Freakin' Robin (Space Jam: A New Legacy) character variant, alongside a premium option featuring the Taz Tune Squad '96 (Space Jam) variant, Harley Task Force X (The Suicide Squad) variant, and more.
Both the free and paid Battle Pass paths include new badges, profile icons, banners, ringouts, and other rewards. For more information on MultiVersus Season 1, head on over to the official site here.
Today’s announcement also included the reveal of two new playable characters – Black Adam (DC) and Stripe (Gremlins). DC’s magic powered anti-hero and the mohawk wearing Gremlin leader will join the MultiVersus roster in the coming months as part of Season 1, along with Morty Smith and Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty). Morty will be available on Aug. 23, while Rick will release later in Season 1. Additionally, new modes will be added to MultiVersus in the months ahead during Season 1, including Classic Arcade and Ranked.
MultiVersus introduces a team-based 2 vs. 2 format combined with an all-star cast of iconic characters, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn and Black Adam (DC); Shaggy and Velma (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny and Tasmanian Devil a.k.a. Taz (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom & Jerry (Tom and Jerry); Jake the Dog and Finn the Human (Adventure Time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe); Iron Giant (The Iron Giant), LeBron James (Space Jam: A New Legacy); Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith (Rick and Morty), Stripe (Gremlins), an extraordinary original creature named Reindog; and many more to come.
The MultiVersus Open Beta is available now as a free download for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, and PC.
