Since the original release of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc for PlayStation Portable (PSP) on November 25, 2010, in Japan, three main titles and one spin-off title have been released for various platforms including PS4, PS Vita, smartphones, and Nintendo Switch. The series has shipped over 5 million units worldwide. The Danganronpa series has spawned TV anime, manga, novels, live theatrical productions, popular merchandise, and various collaboration events.

The Danganronpa series celebrated its 10th anniversary on November 25, 2020, and as one of the commemorative projects, the "Anniversary Editions" were created and released for smartphones in 2020 and for Nintendo Switch in December 2021. In January 2022, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition was released for Xbox One and Windows 10, followed by Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition in May 2022.

The Story

The Ultimate Pianist, Kaede Akamatsu, wakes up in an unfamiliar classroom... There, she meets other "Ultimate" students in the same situation. The headmaster Monokuma declares that the students are to participate in a Killing Game school life. Lie, bluff, deceive, and expose the blackened, and the truth.

For Kaede and the other students, does the future hold hope, despair, or something else entirely...?
