Microsoft has announced that Xbox One owners will get a system update this week that prepares the console for two new features: Xbox 360 backwards compatibility and streaming games on Windows 10.
There are no new user-facing features in this release as the team focuses on the New Xbox One Experience that will be available later this year.
Xbox 360 backwards compatibility is currently in preview for Xbox Preview members and will be launching for everyone else later this year. Game streaming to Windows 10 launches July 29th.
