Cyanide Studio and NACON released detailed information about new updates and content available for Blood Bowl 3 via a major patch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5 and PC.

Since the game’s launch last month, the studio and publisher have been inundated with passionate responses from the community, including note of certain technical problems and concerns about the monetisation system. Based on this feedback, numerous changes have already been announced and implemented to improve the game and to correct these issues.

Blood Bowl 3 was designed to be a long-term, supported experience, with new content, features and competitive events to be added to the game on a regular basis. In addition, the developers are well aware that the game's foundations and the quality of the gameplay are essential. The new patch, released today, is a response to one major concern players voiced about the game's monetisation system: from now on, all Common, Rare and Epic equipment that is unlocked through purchase or in-game reward will be available for unlimited use by the different teams, for characters playing the same positions. It will no longer be necessary to purchase several helmets or shoulder pads to equip other players in the same position. Players who have purchased the same piece of equipment several times (now with unlimited use) will be reimbursed in Warpstone, the Blood Bowl 3 in-game currency.

Of course, throughout the pre-season, which will last until the start of Season 1 in May, the development teams will continue to improve the playing experience based on the community's expectations and feedback. Special attention will be paid to preparing the competitive season (rankings, matchmaking system, admin tools, etc.), and during the pre-season patches will be released to make all required corrections. Furthermore, to compensate for any problems encountered at launch, the Season 1 Blood Pass, which gives access to a new faction, additional features and 50 reward levels, can be unlocked for free by all players.

PATCH NOTES

Customisation system:

As announced in a previous news (http://nacon.me/CustoUpdateBB3) we applied major changes on the customisation system: All the Common, Rare and Epic pieces of equipment bought will now unlock for unlimited use among your teams, on players that share the same position.

Other changes:

• Reset password feature has been added.
• In offline mode, the Sure Feet and Dodge skills can't be used on moves outside of a player's activation, such as those provided from On the Ball, or the Blitz result on the Kick-off Event table.
• Fixed visual and controls issues when using Animal Savagery during Blitz kick-off event.
• Fixed inducements display when more than 10 inducements are available.
• Fixed an issue that could make the game unresponsive when using a Team re-roll during a Jump Over or Leap.
• Fixed an issue that could make the game unresponsive when spamming selection button in the action wheel.
• Fixed an issue during Kick-off when not choosing a destination square before end of timer.
  
  

Blood Bowl 3 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One. PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The Nintendo Switch version will be released later.
