Madowl Games Announces The Directorate: The Spy Who Killed A Saint, a Stealth Game for Consoles and PC
Madowl Games revealed their new stealth title 'The Directorate: The Spy Who Killed A Saint', which will feature a captivating narrative by industry veteran Steve Ince, is set to release on consoles and PC.
The year is 1964. The Directorate, a UK secret intelligence agency, has received a cryptic message suggesting a new player has stepped onto the world stage with the potential to upset global stability.
In The Directorate, operate as a spy vying to avert inconceivable destruction. Avoid, fight and outwit countless grunts, guards and bosses. The 60s-themed, comical experience challenges the player to disrupt the dastardly plans of a malevolent overlord within pre-set, in-game hours. Influenced by nostalgic classics such as Metal Gear Solid, the game shines a light on top-down espionage gameplay.
Madowl Games will be working with industry veteran Steve Ince to create a compelling and exciting narrative. Steve is best known for his work on Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon, In Cold Blood and So Blonde.
The Directorate: The Spy Who Killed A Saint Features:
- Stealth: The core gameplay mechanic will be an effective stealth system. High contrast shadows, environmental options and intelligent AI will form the foundation of a suspenseful and exciting stealth experience.
- Fixed time events: The game will run on an internal clock. Scripted events will occur across the in-game world at specific times. Once passed, many events will not re-occur. It's up to the player to choose what events are worthy of their attention. Players will collect information and automatically log events in their spy notebook for future reference.
- Comedy: Humour abounds across multiple scenarios worldwide. The Directorate does not take itself too seriously and leans towards the funnier side of elite espionage.
The Directorate: The Spy Who Killed A Saint will be developed with a view to releasing on consoles and PC.
