A new Extended Demo for the forthcoming narrative-driven first-person action-adventure Luna Abyss has been release by Bonsai Collective (@BonsaiGames) on Steam. The title is currently in development for console and PC.

Luna Abyss is a single player story driven action-adventure with fluid platforming and bullet hell combat. Follow the journey of Fawkes, a prisoner of Luna caught between a cryptic prophecy and their prison sentence.

The never-before-seen content casts further light on both Aylin and Fawkes characters’ role within the game’s lore, whilst also giving a sneak preview at a brand-new character, who is integral to the story of Luna Abyss. As players will discover, those who step out into The Abyss will be tasked with uncovering the mysteries of the mimic moon-turned-prison planet, as well as the chasm within its depths. This extended demo sends players further into those depths than ever before.

The Luna Abyss Extended Demo is set in the depths of Sorrows Canyon, a region on the fringes of the explored Abyss, where our main character Fawkes is sent on their first mission as a prisoner. Players can engage with high-octane combat, thrilling traversal, and mysterious story elements in this extended demo, that will be sure to leave them wanting more.

“We really wanted to reveal just a little more mystery of what Luna Abyss has to offer, and what better way than allowing players to jump into the game and explore the depth of the Abyss themselves,” says Benni Hill, Creative Director at Bonsai Collective. “We can’t wait to hear what players think of the strange events that are in store for them!”

New content includes:

• Additional gameplay unveiling the source of a mysterious signal located deep within the Abyss

• Multiple visual revisions to the HUD and weapon wheel

• Various optimisations to improve performance and frame rate

• Improved death sequence and checkpointing

• Improved VFX and SFX for the Scout Rifle and Shieldbreaker weapons

• Improved combat experience

• Improved lighting and player guidance

Luna Abyss will include:

• Buried Mystery: Uncover the mysteries of the mimic moon, and the abyss within its depths. Come face to face with remnants of the colony’s downfall & discover your role within this doomed world. Learn all the secrets the abyss has to offer.

• Forsaken Chasms: Sprint, jump & dash your way through this brutalist alien megastructure. Experience fluid first-person platforming as you travel through Luna & the depths of the abyss.

• High-Octane Combat: Survive deadly bullet-hell encounters with corrupted souls & twisted cosmic horrors. Master your weapons & make split-second decisions in fast-paced, explosive, bullet-hell combat.
