Independent game studio Drop Bear Bytes has introduced one of the player character origin stories in Broken Roads (@BrokenRoadsGame), their upcoming isometric RPG, with an all-new video. The game will be available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC (Steam).

Broken Roads is a narrative-driven RPG that brings exploration, strategic turn-based combat, and meaningful philosophical choices to an all-new Australian post-apocalyptic setting.

Set in the Australian post-apocalyptic outback, players will choose between one of four classes: the Hired Gun, Barter Crew, Jackaroo, and Surveyor. This latest video introduces the Jackaroo, who was raised by the manager of a remote station after being ditched there by their parents. After the station hands taught the Jackaroo how to hunt, use tools, and care for animals, they were killed by raiders. Now the Jackaroo is on the move, looking for a new place to settle down, using the skills they were taught to survive.

Originally scheduled to launch on November 14, 2023, Broken Roads will release in 2024 on all platforms. Until then, browse through our extensive coverage!
