Red Art Games has confirmed that Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged, an enhanced version of the legendary Adventure game from Revolution Software, releases physically on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch in early 2025. The title will be available digitally on September 19.

Almost three decades on from the series’ original outing, Revolution Software is re-drawing backgrounds, re-animating sprites, and honing many other aspects of the original game to deliver this adventure classic in full 4K, with upscaled audio lifting the quality of the speech to match the new refined visuals.

Step out onto the streets of Paris in "Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged", a substantially enhanced version of the multi-award winning, all-time classic adventure. Enjoy a globe-spanning story when intrepid American George Stobbart and fearless journalist Nico Collard are pitched into a gripping adventure, exploring exotic locations, solving ancient mysteries, and thwarting dark conspiracies to discover the arcane secrets of the Knights Templar.

Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged will receive both ESRB and PEGI-rated physical Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Xbox versions (the Xbox version will only receive Standard PEGI-rated copies).

The game’s Standard Edition can already be pre-ordered from Red Art Games’ official online store (with covers in English, French, Italian, German or Spanish) and will also be available from multiple retailers at launch. Two limited editions can also be pre-ordered from Red Art Games (PEGI-rated versions) and VGP (ESRB-rated versions).

The Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged Deluxe Edition (500 PEGI-rated copies per platform, RedArtGames.com exclusive) contains:

• A copy of the game
• An exclusive sleeve featuring the cover art from the original version of the game
• A soundtrack CD
• A pixel George keychain
• A booklet

The Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged Special Edition (500 ESRB-rated copies per platform, VGP exclusive) contains:

• A copy of the game

All European versions of Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged can be pre-ordered from Red Art Games’ official online store now. Physical ESRB-rated copies can be pre-ordered from VGP’s online store.

Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged will release digitally for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam) on September 19, 2024 with a Physical Edition to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch in early 2025.
