Microsoft’s senior product manager Mike Lavin explained to OXM this week about how the all-new player ratings will determine who gets matched up with who in multiplayer.

The all-new reputation system is designed to encourage players to join in with game chat and not hide away in private chat and parties. The key aim is that players won't have to splinter off into Parties to ensure they aren't matched with objectionable types in multiplayer.
Pretty cool feature. Hopefully it will help alot with the lag when other players are all matched up in their own parties.. I know I have experienced that a lot.
