Xbox One is very nice.. You just plug any HDMI video/audio input into the HDMI in and it allows you to pin a TV program or whatever on the side of your game or full screen.. All of your friends, achievements and ranks transfer over from most of the latest games. The other feature which loads of guys will like because they cant afford to buy a capture card is the record the last five minutes of your gameplay etc.. It's nice, you have an epic game so you hit save last five minutes or you do it more than once. Sure it's not a perfect recording but still very nice, just a low bit rate i think.

I ended up getting a dud Kinect sensor, it won't power up at all or be recognized, but the Xbox One works online just fine without it, only app I wanted to use was the new app called "UPLOAD" which lets you edit and upload your saved gameplays, it wont work unless you plug in Kinect.. bugger..

It's going to take everyone a while to get used to the new Xbox Dashboard UI, Its very similar to the Xbox 360 Dashboard but not quite that same at all lol. When you hit the dashboard button now it keeps your game running but in a picture in picture type window, meanwhile you can choose to pin things like your party, Game DVDR Record etc, or access the new dashboard options and settings. If you click on the PIP (picture in picture) window of the game you just left you will be instantly placed back in your back in the game. I bet you will all love it, i do.

Games:
1. Call of Duty Ghosts Xbox One is exactly the same as it was on the Xbox 360, only the graphics look slightly better and i mean slightly and it's brighter.

2. Battlefield 4 on Xbox One is awesome, 64 players online, loads of helicopters, jets, boats, and soldiers. crazy. totally recommended.. BF4 Shits on GHOSTS and I mean it. Oh and did i mention no lag.

CLOUD SERVERS:
The cloud servers so far are amazing, we have not experienced any lag whatsoever.. The only lag that you might see in a game is if you start or stop recording gameplay, since the xbox one needs to process the clip, i got some lag like that but reliazed it was because of the capture.

Anyway, back to the cloud: It really does work, we suffer from some ridiculous lag sometimes here in Australia but even when playing COD Ghosts it was totally lag free to the 360 version, and battlefield 3, pure bliss.

anyway, that's my rant, back to the XBONE! lol

oh man, that's terrible about the Kinect. Get it replaced man! A possible down side to having it bundled... but I would buy it anyway.

My X1 was delayed in shipping. oh unlucky me Sad

On a plus side, I have all 4 of my X1 games!

Interesting enough, my 360 Netflix app has already been updated to a similar skin as the xbox one dash. I was surprised it see Netflix all different but it's better and I like it.

I for one know, even without trying it yet, that I will enjoy the snap-in TV and all else. Why? because I know me.

Thanks for you first impressions, Forahobby, You have wet my appetite!!!! Very Happy

While I have yet to play a game with the X1 controller, I can say it is just as good or even better than the 360 controller.

While the plastic feels cheaper, somehow it manages to feel better made. It has slightly more weight and adds force feedback triggers. I am interested in trying that out. Otherwis,e it is about the same as before.

One other thing I noticed that I like is that the 4 right buttons are bigger than last time. I think I like this. I will only know once I get to actually use this controller.

Maybe Forahobby can give us his experience with the new xbox one controllers.

Nice to see you guys enjoying it so far! I've seen a few videos of the console so far and I gotta say that I'm very impressed!

Love the commands you can say like "Xbox record this" and stuff like that.

Might pick one up when it's released next year here in Sweden if I have the money for it. Keep up with the updates Smile

The gameplay recording is OK, but its not perfect. It actually saves every game you play and leaves little clips in your profile for all your friends and followers on xbox live to watch. Quite cool really. I love the TV feature the most, i always find myself playing a game and listening to watching MTV or whatever.. funny.

Lag is near non-existent, i have noticed a few games today that had some lag but no doubt just teething issues. Day One it was flawless.

The update you get when you plug in your console is only around 500MB and doesn't take long to download and update. I can't keep from playing BF4.. I just recorded my first clips but they are huge and going to take a while to upload. I will be posting a new thread with some Xbox One Battlefield 4 gameplay soon.

Well I just received my XBOX ONE and am opening up the box.

First impression on visual inspection?? It look assume. Pictures online don't do the X1 any justice. I love it's looks and it really does not look like a VCR at all. My thoughts on the online images remain the same. Thing looks cool!

Well, time to setup my xbox one. I am thinking to put the 360 on the pass threw but not sure if you can log into xbox live twice at the same time. Well I guess I'll find out.

P.S - I can't wait to ditch my bluray player too. It's real slow to load and freezes sometimes

Is there anything you don't like? I have a few little issues, but they are very minor.

1. Whenever you Join or Start a Party you have to remember to click on the "Turn on Part Chat" option, otherwise no one can hear you in the party. All users must turn it on.

2. I hate the LB + RB buttons on the new controller, they feel way to big and are very difficult to push in compared to the Xbox 360 controller.

Apart from that i have no complaints,, I mainly use the multiplayer features. Smile
