Dead Island 2 picks up the Dead Island and Escape Dead Island storyline several months after the events on the Banoi islands. The United States military has put the Golden State under full quarantine which, for some, is a dream come true with a promise of a fresh start. Dead Island 2 has been delayed and will no longer release on February 3, 2023. The game is now expected to launch on April 21st, 2023, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4/5, and Epic Games Store.
