The Monster Hunter World: Iceborne open beta for Xbox One begins on Monday, September 2, 2019 at 12:00am (PST) and runs through until Wednesday, September 4, 2019 11:59pm (PST).

What do I need to play?

You don't need to pre-order. You just need an active Xbox Live Gold membership to access the beta.
